Mothers: Our Unrecognized Hero’s

When our creator decided to put us on this earth, I am so glad he gave us our own guardian angel. This life would be so much harder if we didn’t have one person in our life to always be there to give us emotional support and love no matter what we did or who we were.

There’s only been one constant through most of my life and that has been my mother. She has been there to help me raise my children when my first husband died and then again when my second husband left. She has picked me up when I was broken emotionally and spiritually. She raised me and my siblings while working two jobs by herself. She never complained and she never sought recognition. I never saw her cry but I know she must’ve broken down many nights having to do this by herself. And unfortunately, I know she’s not the only mother or father or grandparent who has had to do this.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers, fathers, stepfather’s, stepmother’s, grandparents and guardians that are always there. You might feel like they don’t notice but they do. And they will appreciate it their whole life. I know I do.

The Fishing Trip

It was only more perverse from there but, underneath all the bluster and macho bravado (and banana/ship superstitions), it was clear these were a group of good, hardworking, southern men. They were bonding in the ways they were taught.

I had a great time and never asked to go again!
